Highlights

  • Take on an outstanding hike in Hvannadalshnúkur, Iceland’s Highest Peak

Description

Come along on a journey to the top of Hvannadalshnúkur, Iceland’s highest mountain!

Standing proudly on the edge of the mighty Vatnajökull, the country’s largest ice cap we'll take on its challenge head-on, whether we choose to hike or ski ouur way to the top.

We’ll meet the evening before for a briefing and gear check to ensure everyone is fully prepared. The ascent begins early, around 3–4 AM, with the goal of reaching the summit and descending by approximately 3 PM. This is a demanding day in the mountains, and a good level of fitness is essential to take on the challenge.

The season runs from April into July, but due to the unpredictable nature of the mountain, reaching the summit can never be guaranteed.

    Mattias

I had a great experience climbing Hvannadalshnúkur in Iceland together with Svanhvit. We had to reschedule the trip from the original date in March due to weather but it turned out to be a great decision as we had amazing conditions (clear skies and 20+ degrees). Svanhvit was great and very professional and it was a very pleasant experience all around. I would gladly go with them again on any future adventure in Iceland or Greenland.
