Description

The Collsacabra Cliffs tower over the sublime Catalonian landscape. Hiking here offers a vibrant and breathtaking way to explore the mountainside.

We’ll begin in the medieval town of Rupit, which grew around the main church that was built in the year 968, where its narrow streets are made of natural rock and old houses made of stone.

Hiking through the town we’ll witness the towering cliffs that pierce the background. Catch a glimpse of eagles and vultures soaring and falling near the cliffs.

Capture the stunning scenery of the Collsacabra mountain range as we hike 7.3 kilometers on this full-day excursion and gain 470 meters in elevation.

Our trail takes us through beautiful forests and exposed natural balconies that hang over the mountainside with incredible views of the Susqueda reservoir.

Further onwards we will see the famous Salt de Sallent, the highest waterfall in all of Catalonia, which rises to 115 meters.

We’ll return to Rupit after a thrilling hike and enjoy a guided tour around the beautiful cobbled streets.

The level of difficulty for this hiking trip is fairly easy, which requires a minimum age of 10 to join the group.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
