Description
A truly magical peak in the Alps, on the border between Italy and Switzerland, the Matterhorn has to be seen to be believed.
On this full day trip, we would like to show you the Matterhorn in a thorough, easy and incredible way. On this trip, we would like to take you on a trek on the Matterhorn trail.
Stretching approximately 10 kilometers, this trail will show you the majestic peak from a number of different perspectives, many of which are right up close. Hence giving you the opportunity to really take in the beauty of this world famous mountain.
Along the way, we will will also discuss the many legends associated with the mountain. One of those legends includes the story about the peak’s construction by giants from Valtournenche.
Throughout the hike, you will have plenty of chances to stop, rest and take that perfect picture. You will also get to take in the trail’s assortment of highlights, including the Schwarzsee chapel, the Zmutt dam, the Hamlet of Zmutt and much more.
While the trail is not technical, it is nonetheless quite long. As a result, participants should be in good physical condition to maintain a steady pace.

I had am amazing time during the 1-day off-piste training course at Hoch-Ybrig. Urs, our main mountain guide, was very helpful in answering my queries before the course, and Lupe from explore-share was helpful in selecting the course. We had 3 groups under Urs, Mario and Patrick, and I was in the group with Patrick. He gave us a lot of nice tips and individualized video analysis. He made a special effort to convey everything in English, since I don't know German. All the participants were very helpful and friendly too! The course is good value for money as skis are included for the weekend in the course price.
