Description

A beautiful animal, and a famed symbol of the Alps, the Ibex goat is truly magnificent. And on this full day hiking trip, you will have plenty of opportunities to see the goat and its well known set of enormous horns.

This trek will begin in Saas Fee. From there, we will hike for approximately 10 kilometers through the Swiss Alps. Along the way, we will also ascent Mallig before reaching the trek’s highest point, which is approximately 2,752m. From this point you will be able to gaze far out into the Swiss Alps. You will be able to see a number of amazing  highlights from this altitude. Some of those highlights include Saastal valley, several 4000 meter high peaks and the Mischabel massif that has the Dom, which at (4,545m) is the highest peak standing entirely in Switzerland.

With so much gorgeous landscape to admire during this hike, the idea of seeing an ibex makes things even better. And on this trip, there is a good chance you will see one of these amazing animals either resting on a ridge or playing with other goats.

While not excessively difficult, this trek can be arduous at points, especially at the higher altitudes. As a result, it is important that participants on this trip are in good physical condition.

Seeing Ibex goat’s, ascending Mallig and admiring the Saas Fee area in all one day. That is what you will get to do on this full day hike. If you would like to enjoy it for yourself, just send us a request. We look forward to guiding you.

We can also take you on a full day hike around the Salanfe lake at the foot of the Dents du Midi.

Very user friendly platform with timely responses from Explore Share representatives. The trip itself with Tom from Alps Adventures was awesome and ensure that we had an experience that was 100% what we wanted. Recommend both the platform and the guide. Thanks to all for arranging and delivering so well.

I had am amazing time during the 1-day off-piste training course at Hoch-Ybrig. Urs, our main mountain guide, was very helpful in answering my queries before the course, and Lupe from explore-share was helpful in selecting the course. We had 3 groups under Urs, Mario and Patrick, and I was in the group with Patrick. He gave us a lot of nice tips and individualized video analysis. He made a special effort to convey everything in English, since I don't know German. All the participants were very helpful and friendly too! The course is good value for money as skis are included for the weekend in the course price.
