Description

Would you like to climb to the top of one of Scotland’s most iconic landmarks? Then join me on this unique Inaccessible Pinnacle ascent in the Isle of Skye.

The Inaccessible Pinnacle, also colloquially referred to as the “In Pinn”, is a 50 m (150 feet) rock fin on the longest edge of the Sgurr Dearg (or “red peak”). Climbing to the top of the In Pinn requires rock climbing skills, and is an exciting feat for those that like a mountaineering challenge.

On this one day ascent, we will aim to start our climb at 8.30 am from Glen Brittle Hut. We will spend a total of 6 hours on the mountain and enjoy hiking, scrambling, rock climbing and abseiling to reach the summit of the In Pinn.

Keep in mind that you will need a good fitness level to achieve this climb. Of course, I will be there to help and guide you every step of the way.

So, are you ready to climb the beautiful Sgurr Dearg and then summit the stunning In Pinn? Then send your request now and we’ll start planning your adventure together!

Or, if you prefer, you can join me on a longer 4-day munro course in the Cuillin Ridge!

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
