Discover Integral de la Pedriza, a stunning place perfect for a day hike

Description

Join on one of this beautiful traverse in Integral de la Pedriza near the iconic city of Madrid. Don’t miss out the opportunity to explore one of the most stunning parts of Spain.

La Pedriza, is a geological feature, located in the Guadarrama mountain range. Here, geological forces created a labyrinth of large granite rocks and thousands of intriguing paths. Due to the many routes, turns and passages, it’s easy to get lost. That is why I will make sure we follow all the safety rules necessary, so you are safe while enjoying your time here.

Another amazing thing about hiking here is that we’ll find different options. For instance we can encounter patches where we’ll need to climb up or descend, up to 10 meters.

Moreover, the stunning boulder field is composed by a very special granite, with a characteristic pink, that is especially vulnerable to chemical erosion due to oxidation. Hence, it forms fantastic shapes and portrays dazzling shades of color, rarely found in places like this one.

Also, we’ll encounter many curious species here. Several colonies of vultures and mountain goats thrive in the Integral de la Pedriza. The entire area is encompassed by the National Park of the Sierra de Guadarrama, granted a World Heritage Site denomination. Thus, not only you’ll have the opportunity to explore a beautiful place, you’ll also learn about the local culture, the history and significance of a wonderful spot like this one.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland.
