IFMGA certified mountain guide Mathias wants to lead you on an avalanche safety course, along with some freeride skiing, in the Kitzbuhel Alps of Austria.
The Kitzbuhel Alps are a gorgeous collection of peaks. And just like any other large mountain range, they offer many opportunities for great views and exciting fun. From ski touring and off-piste skiing to rock climbing and mountaineering, there are endless activities you can enjoy. However, you always have to remember that all of those activities are offered inside ranges of enormous mountains. As a result, things like avalanches can and do happen, and it is always best to be prepared. Hence the importance of this avalanche safety course.
The course will take place within the Kitzbuhel Alps. This will enable you to get a live feel of what you would be doing and facing. I believe this is far more effective than sitting in a boring classroom.
We will cover several things during the day long course. Some of which include how to work with a transmitter, and general emergency preparation in the case of an avalanche.
After the course has concluded, I will then guide you for some enjoyable free ride skiing on the fresh powder of the Kitzbuhel slopes.
For people who want to enjoy the winter activities in the mountains, and what’s not to enjoy? It is also important to be prepared if unfortunate events occur, and that’s why I wanted to offer the avalanche safety course. I’m also glad to provide plenty of fun freeride skiing at the back end of the day as well.
So if you want to admire the Kitzbuhel Alps, while also learning how to be safer within them and having some time to enjoy skiing within them as well, just send me a request.
I also want to offer you the chance to join me on a freeride skiing trip for beginners. This trip also takes place in the wonderful Kitzbuhel Alps.
I'm a mountain guide from Austria based in the region of Sankt Johann in Tirol. I'm guiding mainly in my country, mountaineering and climbing in the summer and ski touring, freeride skiing and ice climbing in the winter. Please get in touch with me if you wish to come here and enjoy some unique time in the mountains guided by a local expert.
My guide ended up being a local snowboard guide named Peter. It was excellent. Lovely guy, we got to ride some powder as well as practice searching with the avalanche rescue equipment. All round good day. Would highly recommend
