Description

Situated in central Nepal, the Langtang Valley trek is the perfect way to experience the relatively hidden and stunning Langtang Valley!

Combining the immaculate scenery of glaciated Himalayan peaks with a unique cultural encounter, our 11-day trek through the Langtang Valley from Kathmandu is a transformative experience.

The fun begins in Kathmandu, where we will head out on the second day of the trip for an enthralling city tour. Over the course of the day we will visit the capital's three UNESCO World Heritage sites: the Monkey Temple, Pashupatinath Temple and Boudhanath Stupa.

The third and fourth day of the trip will be spent zig zagging through the majestic Himalayan foothills as we approach to the valley. It takes a few days to get to the trailhead, however all of the ride will be incredibly scenic.

Once we've arrived in Langtang on the fifth day, it will be time to lace up our boots and head out onto the trail. As we go, we'll get to see all kinds of incredible scenery, including rhododendron and bamboo forests, rushing waterfalls and the mighty snow-capped Himalayas!

Each night, we will stay in a different village in the heart of the Langtang Valley. Here, the culture is very similar to that of Tibet, and we will have the chance to meet local people, learn a bit about their way of life and sample some local food. We will also visit a couple of monasteries along the way.

Unfortunately, our trip will soon come to its conclusion. After we've arrived back in Kathmandu, we will have a celebratory dinner and enjoy some traditional dancing, before returning to the hotel.

The next day, we will take you to the airport.

Day 4: Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel (6hrs)

Day 5: Lama Hotel to Langtang (3430m/6hrs)

Day 6: Langtang to Kyanjing Gumba (3870m/4hrs)

Day 7: Kyanjing Gumba to Kyanjing Ri (4773m) and back to Kyanjing

Day 8: Kyanjing Gumba to Lama hotel

Day 9: Lama hotel to Syphrubesi

Day 10: Syphrubesi to Kathmandu drive by public bus

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
