The Les Vosges mountains are a large range of low ceiling peaks that encompasses over 8000 square kilometres. With so much area to explore, it could be an intimidating possibility to try to see as much as possible, as fast as possible. However, on this weekend hiking trip, the idea is not to rush. Instead, the purpose is to take your time and take in the beauty of the Les Vosges.
The trip will consist of a long, 2 day looping path. The path is made up of several different trails that span approximately 20 kilometres per day. And at the end of the first day, you will have the chance to relax and rest in a comfortable mountain refuge. Thus ensuring you will be properly prepared for the next day’s hike.
The trails we will trek upon are greatly varied. They are wide and narrow, flat, through forests, and even on ridges. However, one thing that is consistent throughout every trail in the Les Vosges is the incredible, panoramic views you will get to enjoy. And because this trip is about taking a steady pace, you will have ample time to enjoy those views.
Participants should be aware that there are some rough spots in the more mountainous terrain of the trails. As a result, some previous hiking experience is a plus.
The Les Vosges is a wonderful range to explore. And on this 2 day hiking trip, you will have a great opportunity to not only see, but to admire it. So if you would like to join me, please send me a request.
Are you looking for a more challenging way to explore the Les Vosges? If so, I also offer a 2 day trail running option.

Passionate about trail running, the outdoors and everything that nature provides to us, I got certified as a mountain leader by the Club Alpin Belge. I also work as a school teacher and devote my free time to my artistic pursuits.
Maps are another of my big passions. I collect them and spend hours looking at them and searching for the best itineraries in the Alps, the Andes, the Carpathians...and then I take you to explore them, running or walking.
My mission is to share with you the happiness that a high altitude lake can provide, the comfort that one can find in a rustic mountain hut and the excitement of walking along a mountain ridge. Looking forward to meeting you!
Stay up-to-date on the best adventures.
