Join Tobias, an IFMGA certified guide, and spend an amazing snowshoeing week in Lesachtal, in the beautiful Austrian Alps.
I invite you to discover a paradise for snowshoe hikers: Lesachtal, a beautiful valley in the Austrian Alps! Join me in this guided snowshoeing week and let’s enjoy the natural wonders of this amazing spot.
Lesachtal is located in the state of Carinthia, in Austria. It’s a perfect region for snowshoeing, with its pure air, beautiful snow-covered forest and unspoiled winter scenery. We will also have the opportunity to go out for walks in the most beautiful East Tyrol’s mountain village!
Also, we will enjoy a comfortable stay in Lesachtal at the Hotel Weiler, with excellent food, as well as its well-known buffet with delicious cakes. And at the end of an exciting snowshoeing day, we will also be able to relax at the wellness area of the hotel.
Besides, you don’t need any previous experience to join this tour, nor we have any age limit. However, you should be able to walk on the snow for about 3 to 5 hours. We will ascend up to 900 metres.
The trip runs from Sunday to Saturday. We will spend a fantastic week snowshoeing among white meadows and a beautiful forest.
So, what are you waiting for? Contact me and let’s start planning your trip to Lesachtal! I will answer any questions you may have about the program. I also offer a great ski touring week in the Maira Valley, in Italy. Check it out!

I am a IFMGA certified mountain guide and I'm passionated about nature. I was born in 1977 and before entering in the mountain life, I worked as a teacher in Borg Lienz.
I started training as a canyoning guide 15 years ago. Since 2009, I have also trained with canyoning leaders in Carinthia. Additionally, I have been on the road as a mountain and ski instructor. During the summers, I have guided a lot in Switzerland, where I took my guests to many mountains over 4000 meters high. My “motto” in the mountains and in life has always been the same: “Never stop exploring”
I work now for Carnicoalpin where our main objective is leading and accompanying you on steep mountains and great ski slopes with a particular focus set on safety.
For more information, please feel free to contact me. We can discuss about your wishes and the different options I offer. I will be really happy to be your guide and share a great moment with you!

Tobias was an absolutely fantastic guide for our adventure on the Matterhorn (his 85th ascent!), and could not recommend him more highly as a guide and person. We required a second guide for the actual matterhorn climb as there was two of us - instead of Tobias telling us to find someone, he fully arranged another guide that he knew and trusted for the trip up, which allowed us to focus solely on our climbing and training for the Matterhorn ascent. When a gear breakdown affected our training climb on the Breithorn half traverse, Tobias adapted the training and route to give us a bit more time and coaching with the skills needed to successfully summit the Horn. He kept expectations very realistic, and pushed us as positively and confidently as possible. As a result, we made great time to the Matterhorn summit and back. He was also in constant communication in the months leading up to the climb, and constantly provided helpful tips and advice. Even met us for a drink when we arrived in Zermatt to introduce ourselves and gain some familiarity before the climbing began! The climb was a trip of a lifetime, and would not have been possible without Tobias. I will be booking with him again for my next trip to climb in the alps.

Tobias is an amazing guide. He guided me for the Riffelhorn and a Hornli Ridge 2 day Matterhorn climb. He knew the route well and made sure we were safe the whole time. He also shifted the days because the weather was bad for the original booked days. Best guide in Zermatt, I will definitely try to book him for all future trips in this region.

The Matterhorn trip was absolutely awesome. Tobias is an EXCELLENT GUIDE. I would absolutely recommand him. Answered all my questions prior to my trip in Zermatt, gave me a lot of tricks and advice the day before and during the trip. He was very good with me and also very flexible for the ascent date. Also, I was very pleased with my experience with explore-share. It was easy, straight forward and perfect. The customer service was also real good. Was exactly (and even more!) what I needed!
