Description

Spend a couple days mountain climbing in the Rockies and summit Longs Peak in Colorado! This two-day mountaineering program takes you 4,346 meters high and into jaw-dropping scenery that will surely cultivate your passion for climbing!

Longs Peak is loaded with intrigued, from climbs and climbers to history and culture. Located in the Rocky Mountain National Park Wilderness, it is the tallest peak of the park and, at 14,259 feet, it belongs to Colorado’s exclusive 14er club – mountains exceeding 14,000 feet. It was first climbed in 1868, since becoming such a popular mountain that it is featured on the Colorado quarter.

Your two-day program is the best way to mountaineer this goliath, allowing you an overnight and sunrise ascent. We will leave early the first day, trekking almost nine kilometers over five to seven hours before making it to the Boulderfield and setting up camp at about 3,810 meters. Getting to bed early in the shadow of the summit will set us up for a successful summit early the following morning, rife with sunrise splendor. We can even leave the camp set up while making the summit push and travel to the top with just lightweight packs.

Over the course of the trip, we will gain over 1,500 meters in elevation. We can take the standard and popular Keyhole Route to the peak, or the Cable Route via the North Face. The Keyhole winds around the mountain with scrambling routes and includes the Ledges, the Trough, and the Narrows. Once at the Boulderfield, we also have the option to take the more technical Cable Route up the North Face. This is the most direct trail to the top and features a fun combination of traverses and 5.4 (M2) climbing for capable and ambitious climbers.

This is a challenging and rewarding mountaineering objective, so experience and a high fitness level are crucial to getting the most out of this trip. While climbing is available year round, the best conditions are available during spring, summer and autumn. We will focus on having a safe, satisfying, and all-around fun experience climbing Longs Peak and giving you the time of your life in a classic landscape in the United States.

Book this two-day mountaineering program NOW and scale Longs Peak on an epic journey through the iconic geology of the Rocky Mountains!

We could also switch gears and take a day hike up one of the mountains of Red Rock Canyon just outside of Las Vegas for a fulfilling program in Nevada!
