Description

Ready for an exciting adventure in West Virginia? Then join us on this amazing Lower New River rafting day.

The New River has a fabulous 360 miles long cause, which goes through North Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia until it meets the Gauley River to form the Kanawha River. It is part of the American Heritage Rivers that receive special attention by the United States Environmental Protection Agency due to its cultural and environmental importance.

In West Virginia the course of the river gets a bit bumpy, so we’ll use this feature to enjoy a fun rafting day!

We’ll start the day with a group meeting so you can talk to our guides and ask them all the questions you want. We’ll gear up and take a short bus ride to the river, where we’ll go over some safety instructions and hop into the raft to practice a few moves and get comfortable with the surroundings.

Then the real adventure will start! We’ll go through some Class III/IV rapids surrounded by the wonderful scenery of the national forest. You’ll see old coal mining operation remnants, huge mountains and spectacular rock formations.

In the middle of our journey we’ll stop along the banks of the river for lunch. Then we’ll continue paddling to the New River Gorge Bridge, where the bus will pick us up.

Make this Lower New River rafting day in West Virginia your next exciting adventure. Send us a request to book this trip and let the fun begin!
