Description

If you are an experienced skier looking for a tour in the beautiful Piedmont, do not miss this opportunity in the Maira Valley!

Maira Valley is located in the Cuneo province of the Piedmont region, in Italy. It will be our ski tour kick-off point. Every day, we’ll head to a new destination in the area and enjoy the runs.

The meeting point of this tour will be Pensione Ceaglio, our accommodation in Marmora, a small village in Cuneo.  We will settle in there, and then, the following days enjoy our skiing days.

This program offers plenty of different peaks to enjoy, such as Mont Chersogno (3,026 meters)Bric Boscasso (2,589 meters), Monte Giobert (2,439 meters), Monte Bodoira (2,747 meters), Monte Cervet (2,981 meters), and Monte Cassorso (2,776 meters), among others. These peaks belong to the Cottian Alps, located in the border area between Italy and France.

Because you will face 3-5 hour ascents and an elevation gain of around 1,300 meters you will need to be prepared for this tour**.** Consequently, you must have prior skiing experience and a very good fitness level. Of course, I will be there to help you on the way.

So, send your request to book this 1-week tour now and enjoy skiing through the beautiful peaks of the Alps. I will be happy to be your guide on this adventure!

If you want to enjoy ski touring in other sections of the Alps, then  take a look at these programs in Tyrol and the Bernina Pass that I also lead.

Mountain Guide

IFMGA/IVBV Certified mountain, ski and canyoning guide, member of DAV and VDBS mountaineering and sport climbing teaching and training team. I’ve been part of the VDBS team for the formation and training of German mountain guides for 20 years.

I started climbing at the age of 17. Since 1987 I am certified mountain guide and a passion has become a profession. I live in Scharnitz / Tyrol and I am leader of the moutaineering school Alpenwelt Karwendel in Mittenwald.
Ice climbing in norway, skitouring in morocco, rock climbing in cuba or high mountains in the himalaya - I like it to explore new areas around the world. I led a DAV training expedition for talented young mountaineers in the Tian Shan mountain range with climbing Khan Tengri and did several expeditions to the karakorum mountains and the himalayas.

As a full-time mountain guide, I feel at home in the Karwendel and Wetterstein mountains as well as in the mountains and climbing areas worldwide. I am happy to accompany you as a guide to your desired goal!

The guide Bernd was terrific - very knowledgable, experienced and patient with our group of beginners. Even when the weather turned to the worse, he kept finding ways to make it enjoyable, safe and interesting for all of us. We had a great time. Communication with him prior to the trip was also very clear and easy. Highly recommended!
