Discover the beauty of the French Prealps by joining an easy snowshoeing program in the mountains on this 1-day trip in Massif de l’Authion.

Situated in the Mercantour National Park, near Col de Turini, Massif de l’Authion is a range from the Nice Prealps, in the Alpes-Maritimes department. This area is famous for its historical significance. From the Napoleonic Wars to World War II, several battles took place in the region and there are plenty of ruins of old fortresses to discover.

Furthermore, Authion is a fantastic place to explore due to its spectacular views. On this 1-day snowshoeing program, we’ll reach Pointe des Troys Communes (2,080 meters), the highest peak in the massif. Additionally, we’ll also catch sight of the Mercantour National Park, the Marguareis Natural Park in Italy, Corsica and the Mediterranean Sea.

A great thing about this trip is that it allows us to discover a beautiful natural area without great effort. We’ll go up a 2,000-meter peak and face an elevation gain of 300 meters, so although a good level of fitness is necessary, you don’t need prior experience to join.
