It is my pleasure to invite you to this unique ice climbing outing in Metabief, a winter sports area located east of France, very close to the border with Switzerland.
The Jura Massif is a mountain range situated in the Western Alps, mainly following the course of the France–Switzerland border. One of its main ski resorts is Métabief, about a 30-minute drive from Geneva. It has an artificial 15-metre high icefall, which allows for everyone to practice ice climbing.
This waterfall is located exactly on the Berche run and it can accessed on skis after taking a lift. It offers several 15-meter high routes. Beginners will learn the basic ice climbing techniques, while experienced climbers will focus on improving their skills.
If you arrange for more days, we can also visit another of the most famous ice-climbing venues in the Alps: Chamonix, the Ecrins, or the Val de Cogne, in Italy. We will find a large variety of ice formations and different degrees of difficulty.
So, if you are ready to climb some stunning ice lines, please contact me! I’ll be glad to make this trip an unforgettable winter experience for you.
I also offer freeride skiing and ski touring trips in Les portes du Soleil area. You can check out, for example, my Avoriaz tour.

The Jura massif is an ideal place to learn and grow your experience in alpine techniques. I practice mountaineering, ski touring and ice climbing in the winter. I am also located very close to the Swiss and French alpine massifs.
First, I started as a ski rescuer. My passion for skiing and climbing helped me discover the classic routes in the mythical summits of the Alps. The first mountain courses I went on with friends as a guide - which I did with a lot of effort, doubts and perseverance - were much needed to build my experience. Still, they also gave me a lot of joy, and I was able to pursue them while laughing and creating beautiful moments shared.
My experience and terrain knowledge will allow you to move safely and enjoy your time, without a promise of the summit but of sharing a privileged and unique moment in the mountains.
Finally, I'm a fully certified IFMGA mountain guide.
Stay up-to-date on the best adventures.
