Description

The night is mysterious, it has a special magic. It is in this phase of the day when exceptional things happen. Something has the night that makes us feel life with a strange halo of unreality. Join us on this hike, starting at night, to discover the secrets of the Gorbea summit (1,418m), watching the sunrise from its impressive Cross.

Gorbea is a mountain and a massif located in the Basque Country. The main summit of the mountain has a 20-metre-tall metallic cross. This tour is great opportunity to discover lesser known corners of this massif, accompanied by certified guides.

This is a hiking tour open to everyone, even children. You don’t need previous hiking experience to join us, just a normal physical condition.

We will begin the ascent to the summit at dawn, with our headlamps on, in order to see the sunrise from the Cross. Then we will recover forces with a typical breakfast (hamaiketako) in the Angel Sopeña de Arraba refuge to continue our route, exploring interesting corners of the massif.

We will discover a nacedero, snowfields and its use, old menhirs, and we will tell you a true story that takes us back to the end of the 19th century. If the stars align, we will also contemplate the stars and interpret them.
