Description

There are plenty of ways to enjoy the beautiful Mount Hood peak (3,429m). And on this trip, we are offering an intensive and thorough 4 day climbing course that will not only help you reach the summit on the final day, but will also help refine the skills needed for future ascents.

Every day of this trip will be different and will involve the teaching of a different set of skills and techniques. A few examples of what will be covered during this course is a focus on steep snow climbing, anchoring and belaying, crevasse rescue and so much more.

Anybody who already has prior mountaineering experience knows how difficult and strenuous scaling mountains can be. And because of that, our focus is not just going to be on lecturing you, but showing you, and then allowing you to practice for yourself on Mount Hood. We believe this will be incredibly helpful as we can watch you and help you as you put what you have learned into action.

Finally, on the last day, we will make our way to the Mount Hood summit. Thus giving you the opportunity to test yourself, and test what you have learned. And when you reach the top of this great peak, you will be able to gaze out at the gorgeous Cascades mountain range. After that we will make our way back down.

If you want to learn the skills necessary to become a better mountaineer, this 4 day course is for you. And we can’t think of a better, more satisfying peak than Mount Hood. So if you want to join us, please send us a request. We look forward to seeing you.

Guide cancelled within 48 hrs and I was unable to find someone else and so far I’ve not been refunded. Put a small dent in my otherwise great trip to Revelstoke.

Guide was very experienced and very patient with us. We learned alot and he tried to fit in all the knowledge he could in one day, super awesome. A little tough going back and forth to get the trip set up hard to tell if the site is sketchy until you see reviews but all worked out. Ended up with an awesome day with an awesome guide. Overall pretty satisfied and thankful!

Nate was very knowledgeable and got me to the top of mountain. He’s not as engaging as most of the guides I’ve had over the years. I’ve learned a lot about most of my climbs as guides talk about the mountain and the area maybe even plant and animals and I enjoy getting to know them better. We did talk a bit more on the way out of the trailhead. All in all a good experience. But not sure your company told him I had a knee replacement and would be slow.
