Description

The newest and longest route you can take to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro (5,895m): the Northern Circuit is a great means to reaching the top of one of the most famous mountains on earth.

Our 9-day adventure will begin after you’ve been picked up at the Kilimanjaro International Airport and taken to your hotel in Moshi. After that, you will start the climb.

The Northern Circuit begins in the West, at the Londorossi Gate. It then proceeds to follow the same path as the Lemosho route, which is another one of the newer, popular climbing routes on Kilimanjaro, for the next 2 days. From there, we will cross the Shira Plateau and make our way toward the Lava Tower. After that, we will continue along the Northern Circuit, where you will get to soak in a truly expansive adventure around Mount Kilimanjaro. You will get to enjoy a number of unbelievable viewpoints of the mountain and the surrounding Tanzanian landscape. You will also get to enjoy the peace and serenity of the peak’s quiet northern slopes that are located on the eastern side of the peak.

Since we will be climbing for 9 days, it is imperative that participants on this trip are in good physical condition. Prior experience climbing on similar terrain is recommended as well.

The price is 2000 USD per person for groups of 8 to 10 people and 1950 USD per person for groups of 11 people or more.

Day 1: Arrive in Tanzania

Day 2: LONDOROSSI GATE (2,100 meters) – START POINT 2,360 meters TO MTI MKUBWA CAMP (2,820 meters)

Day 3: MTI MKUBWA CAMP (2,820 meters) TO SHIRA CAMP 1 (3,610 meters)

Day 4: SHIRA CAMP 1 (3,610 METERS) TO SHIRA CAMP 2 (3,850 meters)

Day 5: SHIRA CAMP 2 (3,850 METERS) TO MOIR CAMP (4,200 meters) Distance: ~14km / 8 miles

Day 6: MOIR CAMP (4,200 METERS) TO BUFFALO CAMP (4,020 meters) Distance: ~12km / 7 miles

Day 7: BUFFALO CAMP (4,020 METERS) TO RONGAI THIRD CAVE (3,800 meters)

Day 8: 3RD CAVE (3,800 METERS) TO SCHOOL HUT (4,800 meters) Distance: ~15km / 8 miles

Day 9: SCHOOL HUT (4,800 METERS) TO UHURU PEAK (5,895 METERS) AND THEN ONTO MILLENNIUM CAMP (3,950 METERS)

Day 10: Millennium Camp (3,950 meters) to Mweka Gate (1,640 meters) Distance: ~10km / 6.5 miles

Day 11: Depart Tanzania
