Join one of our AMGA-certified guides for a 3-day guided mountaineering adventure to the highest peak in New York: the amazing Mount Marcy.
Mount Marcy stands at 5,343 feet (1,629 meters) as the highest point in New York. It’ll be our pleasure to guide you up to the summit of such an iconic mountain of USA.
Leaving New York City early in the morning, we’ll make our way to the High Peaks Region. There we’ll do a short hike to get well acclimatized and familiarized with the mountain gears. At night we will enjoy a hearty dinner and sleep at the traditional Adirondak Loj. On day 2 we’ll get up at dawn and get ready for our goal: ascend Mount Marcy!
The round trip is 24 km long with and elevation gain of 1066 meters. As the summit surpasses the treeline, it is common to face gusts of wind that reach 60 mph. It’s important to let you know that although our goal is to conquer the Mount Marcy’s summit, we will not hesitate to change the itinerary if weather conditions don’t help. Your safety is always our priority!
This trip implies a good fitness condition and is a great training for those considering to hike Mount Everest’s base camp or to go for challenging treks in the Alps.
