Description

The beautiful Mount Superior is located in the Wasatch range and is a favorite destination for climbing. It is usually free of snow between June and October, great for summer mountaineering! On this Mount Superior one-day summer alpine climb we will show you to the top of this classic Utah stunner!

The Mount Superior climb will begin early in the morning. Our kick off time towards the South Ridge will be between 5 and 7 am. We will need to tackle some scrambling and then, on the exposed crest, we will have to be roped for safety reasons. The use of slings, stoppers and cams and also a combination of belaying, short-pitching and short-roping techniques will help us tackle this challenging section.  Finally, we will descend along the East Ridge and down to Alta via Cardiff Pass.

Because this is a challenging excursion, it is important that participants have some previous climbing experience. A good fitness level is also required. We offer a very personalized climb with one guide per three participants. This is also to ensure safety. But it will not all be hard work. We will also be able to enjoy the stunning views of the Wasatch range, and a great sense of accomplishment!

Are you looking for a challenging summer climbing excursion to take your skills to the next level? Then book your place and join me on this thrilling Mount Superior climb!

We also offer winter alpine climbing excursions. Find more information here.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
