Join us for a journey through space and time in the verdant rainforests around Tulum in Quintana Roo, Mexico!
Over the course of a half-day, we will visit three different cenotes, nestled deep in the Mayan forest.
The three cenotes, or sinkholes, that we will visit are Grand Cenote, Escondido, Cenote Cristal. At each cenote, we will have the opportunity to swim, cliff jump into and explore these interesting and unique geological oddities.
Along the way to each one, we will cycle through quiet forest paths and ancient ruins from the Mayans. We will also get the chance to explore underground caverns and river.
As we cycle around this beautiful place, our knowledgable guide will tell you a bit about the area’s culture, history and ecology, allowing your imagination to run wild as we head out into this wondrous landscape.
Both before and after this, we will also have the opportunity to explore Tulum and try some of the local food, which is always a nice way to start out or conclude a fun half-day out on the trails.

Daniel was kind enough to pick me up promptly at the airport when I arrived. we drove straight to amecameca and bought a few supplies, we then drove to Popo park and set up camp. Daniel gave a class on crampons, walking sticks and the ice pick and then it was time to sleep and prepare for the early morning hike start. we set off around 0330 and reached the recluso at about 15,500 feet. it was an amazing experience with wonderful views.
