Description

Mt. Olympus is one of Utah’s most emblematic climbing spots. It is a local favorite both during the summer and winter, due to it’s low avalanche rate. On this 2-day west route ascent, I will show you up 10 pitches of Mt. Olympus on its 65-degree, 1800′ face.

On day one, we will begin in the evening with an overview of techniques and skills you will need for the climb. These include belaying and basic multi-pitch rock climbing skills. Once we have those down pat, we will be able to tackle the actual ascent. We will start off early the next morning and we will take the full day to ascend and descend Mt. Olympus. Once we get to the top, we will enjoy the stunning views. Then, we will begin our descent by climbing down the west side and rappelling back to the ground. We will not only get a chance to practice our climbing skills and enjoy great views, but we will also get a great sense of accomplishment from the experience!

Previous climbing experience is not necessary for this excursion. However, you will need a good overall fitness level. Of course, I will be there every step of the way to help and guide you to the top.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland.
