Join me for an exciting and eclectic day of gorge walking, canoeing and rock climbing in the stunning scenery of England’s Lake District!

We’ve got a lot to do on our day of adventure, so we’ll get a nice and early start.

First up on our itinerary in an exciting gorge walking expedition to the Ghyll. Along with enjoying excellent views down below, we will also make our way down the gorge and to our second activity.

This will be canoeing. After getting down to the lake shore, we’ll take our canoes out onto Lake Windermere. Depending on the weather, we may even get to do a bit of sailing and even have a swim!

Once we’re back ashore and settled down, we will finish our day with some rock climbing. Make it up rocks you might never have though possible with some simple instruction and equipment. It’s a truly great way to finish our day.

Summer Mountaineering Instructor and Winter Mountain Leader.

I am the owner at Rock n Ridge and have spent over 20 years enjoying the mountains of the UK & Europe. I hold the Mountain Instructors Award (MIA) which is the highest ‘summer’ outdoor qualification in the UK, and the Winter Mountain Leader qualification. I also have qualifications in Mountain Biking, Canoeing & is a Pilates instructor.

I am passionate about my work and find that I can easily build rapport with people. I decided to set up Rock n Ridge in 2017 for my love and passion of the outdoors, as well as the fun and enjoyment of sharing that love with others.

Had a great day out with my instructor Paul who was very helpful in introducing me to trad climbing and getting me to be very comfortable on the rocks. We did six 1-pitch climbs and one multi-pitch climb while enjoying the phenomenal view of Langdale amongst many Herdwick sheeps. Would have extended the experience if I had more time and definitely would do it again.
