Description

When it comes to rock climbing in the interior of BC, Nelson and Castlegar offer some fantastic opportunities.

For half a day, we would like to take you to some of the best spots for rock climbing in the Nelson area. Depending on your skill level, we will find the perfect spot for you. So there is no reason to worry if you're an inexperienced climber looking to start rock climbing, or an experienced climber looking for a limit pushing challenge. Whichever kind of rock climbing experience you want, we will be able to find it for you.

In southern British Columbia, there are several small mountain ranges you can explore and enjoy, all of which are part of the Columbia mountain range. Those ranges include the Purcell mountains, the Monashees mountains and the Selkirks mountains. Each one of these amazing ranges offers a vast array of great walls of granite, limestone or gniess that you can choose to climb.

Another great advantage to rock climbing in the Nelson – Castlegar area is how remote it is. As a result, you will not have to worry about crowds. Hence giving you the chance to enjoy the peace that comes with the area's natural surroundings.

An example of a great single-pitch option you can choose from on this trip includes The Date on Pulpit Rock.

Throughout the gorgeous Nelson area there  is an abundance of wonderful rock climbing options. If you would like to enjoy some of them, all you have to do is send a request. We would be happy to guide you!

Are you ready to transition from indoor to outdoor rock climbing? If you are, you can take this transition course in Kootenay.
