Tatras

Description

One of the hardest climbs in the Tatras, the Prostredny needle ascent might look inaccessible at first glance but is a very attractive peak for experienced mountaineers. I will help you reach the summit!

Prostredny Hrot (needle) is the highest summit in the ridge that divides Mala Studena and Velka Studena valleys. The needle is 2441-meters high but we will do the 1200-meter ascent from Hrebienok.

We will first follow a beautiful hiking trail up Mala Studena valley, around Tery's hut, named after Edmund Tery, the first climber to reach the summit in 1876. The trail will lead to Dubkeho lavky.

From there, we will climb all the way to the summit. Striking views of the big walls on one of the sides of Lomnicky Peak will be your prize once at the top!

The terrain is technically challenging and quite exposed, so you need to be good with heights. Also take into account that you need to be in very good physical condition. For security reasons, I can take a maximum of 2 people on this Prostredny needle ascent.

I also offer a 1-day ascent of Pysny peak, one of the most famous mountains in the High Tatras. Be sure to check it out!

So contact me if you have any questions and we'll start planning our  Prostredny needle ascent! You won't regret it!
