Take the next step in your climbing journey by transitioning from the climbing gym to the spectacular limestone cliffs of Leonidio, one of Europe's most celebrated sport climbing destinations. Designed for indoor climbers and boulderers with little or no outdoor experience, this immersive three-day program combines professional coaching, guided climbing, and hands-on learning in a safe and inspiring environment.
Throughout the experience, you'll develop the essential skills needed to climb confidently outdoors, including movement on natural rock, rope management, climbing techniques, safety systems, and outdoor climbing ethics. Every day is tailored to your experience and goals, allowing you to progress at your own pace while exploring some of Leonidio's most beautiful climbing sectors.
Beyond the climbing, you'll experience the unique atmosphere that has made Leonidio famous among climbers worldwide. With its welcoming community, traditional Greek village charm, outstanding local cuisine, and hundreds of world-class routes surrounded by dramatic red cliffs, Leonidio offers far more than a climbing tripâit's a destination where people come to improve, connect, and fall in love with outdoor climbing.
Whether you're preparing for your first outdoor climbing holiday or looking to build a solid foundation for future adventures, this program will give you the confidence, knowledge, and unforgettable memories to continue your climbing journey long after your visit to Greece.
Meeting point
We'll begin by meeting in Leonidio, introducing the equipment, and discussing the goals for the course. After a safety briefing and equipment check, we'll head to one of Leonidio's beginner-friendly climbing sectors.
The first day focuses on becoming comfortable climbing on natural rock. You'll learn how outdoor climbing differs from indoor climbing, practice movement on limestone, improve footwork and balance, and become familiar with outdoor belaying, rope management, and communication.
Throughout the day, you'll climb a variety of routes selected specifically for your level while receiving personalized coaching and feedback.
Today we continue developing your movement and efficiency on the rock while introducing more advanced techniques. We'll explore another climbing sector, allowing you to experience different rock features and climbing styles.
We'll work on route reading, resting positions, efficient clipping techniques (if appropriate), body positioning, and strategies for climbing confidently outdoors.
Depending on your experience and progress, you may also have the opportunity to take your first steps towards lead climbing in a safe and controlled environment.
The final day is all about putting everything together. You'll apply the techniques learned throughout the course while climbing a selection of routes that match your progress and personal goals. We'll continue refining movement, improve climbing efficiency, and help you develop the confidence to enjoy outdoor climbing independently.
Before finishing, we'll review everything you've learned, discuss future training recommendations, and answer any remaining questions to help you continue your climbing journey after the course.
Please note that the itinerary is flexible and may be adapted according to weather conditions, climbing levels, and participants' goals to ensure the best possible experience.

Kostas is the real deal! He has detailed knowledge of the area, safe and reliable climbing skills, and, heâs genuinely a fun person to hang out. You will not be disappointed if you have the opportunity to climb with Kostas.

Hands down, you couldn't ask for a better instructor or coach than Kostas. We spent two great days climbing with him in Leonidio, and it was an absolute pleasure and so giving in terms of climbing technique. Kostas is extremely skilled at reading your skill level and developing you from there, which is a gift. He prioritizes safety, and makes you feel completely secure. At the same time he's friendly, patient and has a great understanding of explaining the theory. All in all a great guy to be around and learn from, no matter your age or climbing experience. Kostas also speaks english without fault, so there's no language barrier for international travellers - and he gives great tips for future climbing and nature spots. Would recommend Kostas to anyone who really want to get their moneys worth when choosing a climbing instructor.

Great day of climbing with Kostas. He brought us to a really nice (and sunny đ) sector with nice routes adapted to the different level of our small group of 3. Really friendly, helpfull and professionneal instructor, personaly involved in the developpement of rock climbing in Leonidio. You can also borrow from him all the climbing gear if needed. Woule recommend it 100%. Thanks again for this nice day.

Wonderful experience being guided by Kostas. Very calm and relaxing, but also encouraging and energetic. Accurate and safe and very clear in explanations and coaching. (Single pitch lead climbing). Thank you!

My 13-year-old son Lambro and I spent three unforgettable days climbing with Costa in Leonidio this April. Costa has a rare gift as an instructor â he managed to keep both of us challenged and engaged despite a big gap in ability (I climb 5c, Lambro is pushing into 7a+ territory). He planned each day thoughtfully. We started at Yellow Wall and TheĂłs Pillar, which was a brilliant introduction â enough variety for both of us to find our rhythm on the rock. Day two at Twin Caves was the highlight: even though the cave routes were still wet from three days of rain, Costa adapted on the spot and had us both climbing the excellent wall routes to the left instead â Lambro loved every minute of it. On our final day at Sabaton, with its sea views and shade, Costa found the perfect balance of relaxed climbing and a few last challenges to finish the trip on a high. What sets Costa apart is more than just his technical skill. He genuinely cares about the climbing, the rock, and the community around it. You can tell Leonidio isn't just where he works â it's a place he's deeply invested in. He knows every sector, every approach, and has thoughtful opinions on which routes suit which climber. Lambro is already asking when we can go back. That says everything. We couldn't recommend Costa more highly â whether you're a beginner finding your feet or an experienced climber looking to push your grade, you're in excellent hands.
Stay up-to-date on the best adventures.
