Description

The Roger’s Pass in British Columbia, Canada is full of amazing peaks. The tallest of those peaks is the Mount Sir Donald (3,284m). And on this 3 day adventure, we would like to guide you on a fantastic rock climbing expedition that will culminate with getting to this great mountain’s summit.

Shaped liked the famed Matterhorn in the Alps, Mount Sir Donald is an amazing climb. We will take the Northwest ridge to the top of the mountain. And from the top, you will get to gaze out at the Purcell mountains, the Selkirk mountains and the amazing Rockies.

Our adventure will begin at Canmore, a beautiful town in Alberta. From there, we will drive to Mount Sir Donald and set up camp at the mountain’s base. On the following day, we will make our way up to the Uto/Sir Donald Col. From there, we will begin ascending the northwest ridge. While not too difficult, there will be some tough spots on the rocks as we get higher up the mountain. However, once we finally reach the summit, you will get to enjoy the tremendous views. Afterwards, we will descend back to our campsite at the base of the peak. The entire ascent and descent should take approximately 12 hours. Finally, on the last day, we will pack up, perhaps some climbing on the crags and head back to Canmore.

Considered one of the best climbs in Canada, scaling the Mount Sir Donald is a treat for any climber. If you would like to enjoy this great climb, just send us a request.

We can also guide you to the top of Mount Louis, near Banff, via the Kain route, on this trip.

Guide cancelled within 48 hrs and I was unable to find someone else and so far I’ve not been refunded. Put a small dent in my otherwise great trip to Revelstoke.

Guide was very experienced and very patient with us. We learned alot and he tried to fit in all the knowledge he could in one day, super awesome. A little tough going back and forth to get the trip set up hard to tell if the site is sketchy until you see reviews but all worked out. Ended up with an awesome day with an awesome guide. Overall pretty satisfied and thankful!
