Description

Calling all skiing lovers! I’ve got the perfect adventure for you this winter. Follow me on an exciting skisafari week exploring the best spots in the northern Dolomites around Sellaronda and Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy.

The Dolomites have recently been named a UNESCO World Natural Site. Its options for outdoor enthusiasts are endless all year round. On this trip, we’ll explore some of the most famous skiing resorts in the Sellaronda area with beautiful slopes and views. Some of the areas we’ll visit and ski in include Cortina, Alpe di Siusi (Europe’s biggest mountain pasture), Seceda, Alta Badia, Falzarego-Lagazuoi, Civetta and Marmolada.

Get ready to spend up to 6 hours of skiing every day in these outstanding places. For more information of what we’ll be doing each day, make sure to read the detailed description below. Also, keep in mind that the itinerary may change due to safety concerns.

Price details

Price is per person to join a group of minimum 7 people. Price increases if you want to stay in a single room, rather than a double one. Price does not include beverages, lunches, ski pass, insurance or tips.

Itinerary

Day 1: South Tyrol

Program presentation, meeting and dinner with the ski guide.

Day 2: Cortina

We’ll take a shuttle bus to Cortina and ski in the area. Then, we will transfer to Passo Falzarego to spend the night at the Hotel al Sasso di Stria.

Day 3: Alpe di Siusi - Seceda

Alpe di Siusi is Europe’s largest mountain pasture with wonderful slopes. We’ll then go to Val Gardena to its ski area, Seceda. Night at Hotel Frara.

Day 4: Corvara – Alta Badia – Armentarola – Falzarego Pass

We’ll ski on Alta Badia and the area of Falzarego-Lagazuoi. Night at Hotel Frara.

Day 5: Torri – Nuvolau - Civetta

First, we’ll ski at the Averau and Nuvolau area. Then, we’ll transfer to Civetta, which offers 80 kilometers of ski slopes with breathtaking views. Night at Fedaia hut.

Day 6: Marmolada

One of the best places to ski! We’ll extend the natural 12 kilometers of Marmolada by continuing to Serrai, known as the Grand Canyon of the Dolomites. Night at Fedaia hut.

Day 7: Passo Pordoi - Sella - Gardena Valley

We’ll ski on the Padon crest, Porta Vescovo, Arabba, Passo Pordoi and Col Rodella. We’ll also visit the villages of Lupo Bianco. Night at Hotel al Sasso di Stria.

The mountains are my home. Ever higher, steeper and more difficult climbs are what motivates me. After Reinhold Messner , I am the first South Tyrolean to successfully climb all Seven Summits . I have set foot on the highest peaks in the world a total of 14 times and intend to continue making my high altitude dreams come true in the coming years.
