For a full week I would like to guide on a hiking adventure through the amazing Sierra Nevada mountains. I would like to show you all of the beautiful sights in the area. And with 7 days to do it, I believe you will have ample time to not just see, but truly take in and appreciate this amazing mountain range.
We will be trekking for an average of approximately 12 kilometres per day. We will also be enduring an average rise in altitude of approximately 800 metres per day. As a result, participants should be in good enough physical condition to maintain that pace.
The list of highlights you will see during this trip is long and incredible. Some examples include the following.
An ascent of Veletta (3,398m)
An ascent of Alcazaba (3,371m)
Hidden lakes
Alpine flowers
An ascent of Mulhacen (3,479m)
Along with the great hiking you will get to enjoy on this trip, you will also get to relax and rest during the evenings in the lovely Alcadima hotel. This wonderful hotel, which will be our home base is located in the beautiful spa town of Lanjaron, which is very close to the Sierra Nevada mountains.
The rooms of the Alcadima are well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Many of the rooms also include a balcony where you can enjoy fantastic views of a nearby castle, as well as the mountains.
The Sierra Nevada mountain range in southern Spain is a wonderful place to visit and explore. And for 7 days I would be happy to guide you through it. To join me, all you have to do is send me a request.

I'm a qualified International Mountain Leader and a rock-climbing instructor (SPA). I have been walking and climbing since the 1970’s in Europe and further afield; I particularly enjoy researching new destinations. I have a house in the Sierra Nevada mountains of southern Spain, and spend around half my year there.
I have undertaken voluntary work supporting the British Mountaineering Council and I am a member of The British Association of International Mountain Leaders and The Mountain Leader Training Association. I 'm a long-term outdoor enthusiast, and I have walked and climbed widely in the UK, Europe, and Africa. I also lead youth expeditions, and in recent years I have visited Mozambique, Swaziland and Uganda.
Stay up-to-date on the best adventures.
