Practice your skills in the Sihlhölzli sporting complex.
Spend time in the beautiful city of Zurich.
Another highlight of Zurich is the Sihlhölzli sports facility. It is in the facility that I am offering a short, 2 hour avalanche rescue seminar. Starting at 6:30 pm, you will learn how to properly use an avalanche transceiver, which is absolutely crucial when it comes to mountaineering, especially in ranges like the Alps.
Avalanches do happen, and while guides and climbers alike do all they can to avoid them, they are nonetheless a part of mountain climbing. As a result, it is essential to know to respond to them. And it is imperative to have the skills necessary to perform a rescue if the need arises. Thus the important of this course.
Whether you have your own transceiver or not, as I can provide you with one, you will learn how to use it. You will also practice with the transceiver, ensuring that you will know how to find a person in the event of an avalanche.
