Description

Positioned in the beautiful Alps of Switzerland, Zurich is a fantastic city to visit and explore. Modern and fun, as well as full of wonderful views, it is definitely a highlight of the country.

Another highlight of Zurich is the Sihlhölzli sports facility. It is in the facility that I am offering a short, 2 hour avalanche rescue seminar. Starting at 6:30 pm, you will learn how to properly use an avalanche transceiver, which is absolutely crucial when it comes to mountaineering, especially in ranges like the Alps.

Avalanches do happen, and while guides and climbers alike do all they can to avoid them, they are nonetheless a part of mountain climbing. As a result, it is essential to know to respond to them. And it is imperative to have the skills necessary to perform a rescue if the need arises. Thus the important of this course.

Whether you have your own transceiver or not, as I can provide you with one, you will learn how to use it. You will also practice with the transceiver, ensuring that you will know how to find a person in the event of an avalanche.

learning how to use an avalanche transceiver is a crucial part of mountaineering. And I am happy to provide you with that knowledge during this 2 hour course at the Sihlhölzli sporting complex in the beautiful city of Zurich. If you would like to learn those skills, please send me a request.
