Join me in this day or multi-day trip of ski alpinism in the Pyrenees, starting from Val d'Aran or Benasque. We can pick one place and do a skiing day, or combine several spots for a multi-day trip.
The best option is to start from Val d'Aran, because the north face of the Pyrenees has better snow. But it is also possible to do it starting from Benasque.
There are plenty of skiing spots to choose, according to the snow and weather conditions, and the skill level of the skiers. Some of the best options are the north and south face of Aneto, the highest peak of the Pyrenees. The idea is to combine the ascent of a ridge, and then ski down couloirs. This way we'll enjoy the best powder snow of the Pyrenees.
What I like about this program and this region is that we can reach places where we will be alone in the mountain. And we can do some runs that there are not other ways to reach.
If we go for a combination of several days we can go down to the town after every skiing day. The other option is to stay at the several refuges of the Natural Park of Posets-Maladeta.
The best season to do this is February and March. But it is also possible to do it in January and April. You don’t need previous experience in mountain skiing to do this program, but yes some experience in piste skiing.
So please contact me if you are interested in ski alpinism in the Pyrenees, either one day or a several days trip! And if you want to combine it with heliski, check out this trip.

The story begins when your parents put you the skis when you are still wearing diapers, when you discover every summer the lakes of the Pyrenees, and after that you start going for the summits. When climbing and the feeling of freedom that comes with it gets you hooked, and there's nothing you can do about it.
It continues when you choose your career following the name: Technical Mountain Engineering, in Lleida, close to the Pyrenees, and you start working as a ski instructor during weekends. And year after year, trip after trip, run after run, you start getting together with young mountaineers, and closer to the formation as a mountain guide.
Expeditions, trips, some award and the constant formation and evolution are what built this long journey, which allows me to share the world that I love with others. And thanks to the works as a guide I can enjoy everything: the great moments that the mountain gave me, in the snow, rock or ice, and above all the moving feeling of realizing how small we are in the immensity of the summits.
Stay up-to-date on the best adventures.
