Description

I am a professional skier and I would like to take you on an unforgettable ski day in Gifu, Japan. It will be a different way to spend a day at a ski resort!

The Gifu prefecture is filled with traditional mountain villages. In this destination of the Honshu island there are two main areas popular for skiing: Hida and Okumino. In this occasion I would like to share a day with you in Okumino. The vast slopes give a feeling of amplitude, and the open landscapes are stunning.

I have been skiing in the Okumino area for a very long time. This snowy area has some great powder! And there are snow parks where we can try kickers and gibs, as well as half pipes of different sizes. I will decide the exact itinerary depending on the conditions, your level and your wishes.

I am number 5 in Japan in the Freeride World Qualifier ranking. One thing I love to do when I’m not competing or training around the world is to take clients on an exciting day in the mountains! I love to show them my favourite runs, share ski tips and, above all, have a fun day together.

Please note that as I am not a certified guide, we will stay within the limits of the ski resort. You should choose this program if you are looking forward to an exciting day rather than learning ski techniques. You will not be disappointed!

Participant will need to have appropriate insurance coverage (including skiing and snowboarding).

I am not a certified mountain guide, so please keep in mind that, for safety reasons, we will stay within ski resort boundaries at all times.

I was born and raised in Nagoya in Aichi prefecture and I'm 36 years old at the moment. My home ski area is Okumino in Gifu prefecture.

I've competed in both moguls skiing and half pipe and have also competed at World Cup level representing Japan.

Since then, I've expanded my field of competition to freeriding and have started competing in the Freeride World Qualifier tours.

I welcome all skiers, from beginners to those who have freestyle skiing experience and an interest in jumping and freeriding. Families are welcome too!
