Description

Would you like to explore the Maritime Alps while you enjoy ski touring? Then come with me on this 5-day roundtrip in the Maira Valley!

First of all, we’ll meet in the Turin Airport and transfer you on a 2.30-hour drive to the village of Chippera, in the municipality of Acceglio, in the province of Cuneo. Then, we’ll have a brief to check the equipment and talk about the correct use of artva.

On the second day, we’ll explore Bric Cassin and go to the Refuge Viviere, where we’ll have the chance to enjoy a nice swimming pool. Then, the third day will be the turn of the Auto Vallonasso summit and we'll descend to Sorgenti del Maira, a beautiful natural spot at the foot of the mountain. On day four, we’ll enjoy ski touring and descend to the village of Lausetto. Finally, on the fifth day, we'll reach Rocca La Meja and we’ll transfer you to Turin Airport.

As for the requirements, it doesn’t matter if you don’t have plenty of experience, this program is suitable both for beginners and advanced participants. In any case, it’s important to have a good level of fitness.

Mountain Guide

I live in the mountain for 300 days every year, I'm expecialized in trip around the world from Jordan (Wady rum for climbing) to Himalaya summit, during the summer I usually to work in the Alps (Mont Blanc and Monte Rosa) but during the autumn is a must to fly in Kalymnos to climbing.

I'm a guide from 2006 and from 2008 I work in Italy in mountain rescue Helicopter and I specialized in avalanche explosive working-from 2015, I become a teacher of italian mountain guide.

We were a bit unlucky with the weather, so we didn't summit. But given the conditions, I think we did the best we could, we've scaled some smaller peaks and practiced our spline skills. Matteo is great guide, highly recommend.
