Have you ever skied with a pro? Come and join me and let’s explore the region of Hakuba, in the Japan Alps, for one or several days together!

Located in Nagano, the valley of Hakuba is a famous winter sports area. As a freeride world qualifier skier, I can tell that the terrain and the snow in this region is really awesome. The apres-ski is also a lot of fun. Japanese skiers are really proud of this region!

On this experience, you will have the chance to see how a professional chooses his descents. Then, we will enjoy them together. I am ranked 8th in Japan but I am not an instructor, the goal of this trip is just to ski together. However, I can surely give you some tips to improve your skills! Keep in mind that for this tour you need to have at least an intermediate level! Of course, a good fitness level is also necessary.

Some of the ski resorts we can visit include Cortina, Norikura, Tsugaike Kogen, Iwatake, Happo-One, Hakuba 47, Goryu and Sanosaka. You can choose the spot that you like best. Some of them can be accessed with common lift tickets.

Hakuba also has a varied accommodation offer. If you want to stay for more than one day, we can explore many of the resorts, it will be an amazing holiday for you!

I'm born and raised in Hokkaido, so I've skied all my life, ever since I was a child. As a teenager, I joined a highschool that specialised in training skiers and ski insructors. Right after graduation, I got into freestyle skiing (what is called slopestyle now) and competed in numerous competitions.

After that, I gravitated towards the world of powder skiing and moved my skiing career to backcountry skiing. I've been competing in the Freeride World Qualifiers in Hakuba from the first year.

I welcome any skiers who just love to ski!!

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice.
