Description
Absolutely stunning, the Sierra Nevada mountainous area around Lake Tahoe will take your breath away. Whether you are visiting the area in the summer, spring, fall or winter, you will be amazed at what you see. From the beautiful alpine lake itself, to the peaks and forests, the area is a paradise. And for a half-day, at the Donner Summit Sno-Park, we would like to guide you on a snowshoeing trek through this magnificent area.
This trip is tailored for snowshoeing beginners. So, even if you have never snowshoed before, you can have a great time. Furthermore, throughout the trip, we will focus on instructing you on several important skills and techniques. Some of those techniques include the following.
How to ascend, descend and break trail in the snow
You will learn how to use and care for snowshoeing equipment
The basic skills for winter travel and hiking
The geography around Lake Tahoe
No experience is necessary to enjoy this half-day trip. And don’t worry if you don’t have snowshoes and poles because we will supply them for you. And because this trip only lasts a half-day, it is not very physically taxing either. Even kids can enjoy this trip, as long as they are accompanied by a responsible adult.
