Description

On this amazing week long adventure, you will get to snowshoe in the gorgeous Vallee de la Claree. This amazing area is full of beautiful Cols, summits and villages.

The base of our trip in the Vallee de la Claree will be the small hamlet of Nevache. This quainy and lovely place is where your comfortable hotel will be. Thus giving you a great place to relax and rest at the end of each day.

Throughout this trip, you will be in constant view of the sensational French Alps. And as we make our way up various summits, those views will only grow more and more spectacular. You will also get to enjoy some amazing nighttime views from the Refuge du Chardonnet. At 2,223 meters high the refuge will bring you incredibly close to the moon and stars. There will be several climbing days during this trip. Examples of the spots you will be climbing include the Col des Thurs (2,194m), the Col de Buffere (2,427m) and the Col du Chardonnet (2,638m). You will also get to spend days exploring the Vallon de Creuzet as well as local routes near the hotel in the Vallee de la Claree. One of those routes includes the Chalets des Acles.

During this trip, we will be trekking from 4 to 8 hours, covering distances from 4 to 15 kilometers per day. We will also be ascending between 400 to 900 meters per day. As a result, participants on this trip should be in good physical condition.

The Vallee de la Claree is a tremendous place to explore. And doing it on snowshoes only adds to the fun. To join me on this week long trip, just send me a request.

I also offer a similar week long snowshoeing trip based out of Samoens, also in the French Alps, which you can enjoy here.

We were Very pleased With Emma guiding us through the hikes. We really enjoyed the entire trip:) As we were just our family we would have loved a little more flexibility hiking in our own pace - felt we were rushed a bit too much. We should have informed Emma about this but we were too compliant:) The explore-share platform was a bit rigid/ formel - it was not clear that exploreshare hired another firm to do the job. Also quite a High fee to explore share We were first told to have an (expensive) extended travel insurance (with mountain rescue) up to departure / after we had plaid. We should have been told this before signing up. Another mistake were that explore share had told us last payment were due closer to departure - so in a rush we had to pay up 60 days before as this is cloud9advenures policy. This made us uncertain if it was fraud. But it wasn’t:) overall pleased with our trip

AMAZING! This was a last minute decision and my first multi day trekking tour and it far exceeded my expectations. The communication and preparation was comprehensive and accurate. Our guide (Lindsay) was phenomenal. The route was the perfect mix of challenge and comfort. I will definitely be booking my next hiking trek thru Emma.
