Description

Join me on this splitboarding week trip by the sea in Abruzzo, Italy. This trip offers the most breathtaking views of the Adriatic Sea. And combines them with the most thrilling paths for splitboarding across the Apennine mountain range.

Our journey will begin in the Maiella National Park. Many species, including bears and wolves inhabit its territory. This stunning park is also home to the Amaro Mount (2,795 m). And, from its top, we will get the most mesmerizing views of the Adriatic coast.

Then we’ll head to the Gran Sasso National Park, another italian treasure. There, we’ll stay at an enchanting castle restored, to offer us a unique and comfortable experience. The castle is located at Campo Imperatore, a charming alpine meadow that comprises a high basin shaped plateau. This is the ideal location for our splitboarding adventure.

Please note that in order to join this tour you’ll need previous splitboarding experience. The majestic mountains at the Gran Sasso can reach altitudes of more than 3,000 meters. Thus it will be a challenge that will definitely prove to be rewarding once we reach their summits.

We’ll encounter everything a snowboarder could ask for. From altitude variations to different types of terrain, and from panoramic overpasses to thrilling descents! What’s more, the view of the ocean will accompany us all throughout our journey.

Additionally, you’ll get to learn about the local culture and experience the lifestyle of the people that live in this paradise. Also, you’ll be able to try the exquisite local cuisine!

If you are interested in joining this splitboarding trip, send me a request. It will be my pleasure to guide you across this winter wonderland.

Mountain Guide

I am a IFMGA certified mountain guide and I'm passionated about nature. I was born in 1977 and before entering in the mountain life, I worked as a teacher in Borg Lienz.

I started training as a canyoning guide 15 years ago. Since 2009, I have also trained with canyoning leaders in Carinthia. Additionally, I have been on the road as a mountain and ski instructor. During the summers, I have guided a lot in Switzerland, where I took my guests to many mountains over 4000 meters high. My “motto” in the mountains and in life has always been the same: “Never stop exploring”

I work now for Carnicoalpin where our main objective is leading and accompanying you on steep mountains and great ski slopes with a particular focus set on safety.

For more information, please feel free to contact me. We can discuss about your wishes and the different options I offer. I will be really happy to be your guide and share a great moment with you!

Had an absolutely amazing experience with Tobias, from the training day to summiting the Matterhorn. Couldn’t ask for a better guide 10/10

John

Tobias knows the Matterhorn and the surrounding area extremely well. He will go at a level that is comfortable for you and help you reach whatever mountaineering goal you have. Another reviewer said Tobias knows every step on the Matterhorn - and this is absolutely true. He's one of the BEST around.

Roberto

i guess it was a little our fault for not investigating the fact that due to weather its not always possible to climb the matterhorn, but we where notice 1 week before that the weather was not good, so it was very complicated to organize something interesting as second option.
