Enrico has a vast experience in this region of the Alps and, as a local IFMGA/UIAGM guide, he has planned this ski touring trip. Undoubtedly, Tofana Di Rozes is one of the best spots of the Dolomites for Backcountry skiing. Why not joining him ?

Description

Today I want to offer you a great one-day ski touring in Tofana Di Rozes.

With a total positive altitude of 1200 meters, you will enjoy a wide variety of slopes in Tofana Di Rozes. Some of them are very steep ones, reaching an inclination of 45°.

Together with its neighboring peaks Marmolada, Antelao, Pelmo and Civetta, Tofana Di Rozes becomes a challenge for any intermediate skier.

Tofana Di Rozes is a 3.225-meter-high peak and one of the most ambitious summits of all The Dolomites. It is located in the Italian province of Belluno, in the Véneto region.

Laying in the west of Cortina d’Ampezzo Resort, Tofana Di Rozes is also one of the most popular peaks of the Tofane Group. Besides that, its three pyramid-shaped edges and its vertical south face set a wonderful scenery, ideal for ski touring.

In order to achieve the ski goals of the day safely, you will need an ARTVA KIT (ARTVA + Probe + Shovel). It can be rented in the place as well as ski touring equipment, crampons and ice axe.

The ski touring traverse I am proposing will take us about 4 to 6 hours. However, I can also offer you a guided tour of more days. Any item can be adapted to your wishes!

All you have to do is getting in touch with me as soon as you can. We will talk about availability, booking or any other question you have. I will be a honor for me to guide you in a ski area I know so well.

Mountain Guide

I started my career as an aerospace engineer, my first passion and then became a full-time IFMGA mountain guide, my second passion, since 2013. Working as a mountain guide gratifies me a lot. I enjoy very much transmitting my knowledge about the mountains and its activities to my friends and clients.

I’m based in the Dolomites where I have climbed most of the mountain surroundings us here, including “Via attraverso il Pesce” in Marmolada and “Captain sky-hook” in Civetta. I also enjoy a lot guiding in the rest of the Alps, ice climbing, ski touring, freeride skiing, rock climbing and mountaineering.

Feel free to contact me if you want to live a great adventure in the Dolomites or anywhere else in the Alps, during the winter or the summer. It will be a great pleasure for me to guide you and allow you to reach your goal. I work with other mountain guides in the Veneto area, such as Filippo, Massimo, and my brother Daniele. If I am unavailable on the date you are interested in coming climbing, skiing, or engaging in other activities with me, I can connect you with one of them.

3 stars Marmolada is due to weatherconditions. Lack of new snow. Enrico found good snow in parts of the glacier. 5 stars to him. Before we went up to the glacier, Enrico took us for a testride offpiste to see if we would be able to ski difficult conditions. Very good.

To be honest we are very disappointed. We signed up for the day of free ride on Marmolada but Enrico wisely said the snow conditions were not conducive for doing that. He offered to do other activities (specifically ski touring) but that is not what we paid for or signed up for, and did not want to do that. Since he offered “alternative activities” it appears we lose 100% of the cost per Explore-Share policy. This is extremely unfair. Enrico seemed like a good guy and probably a very good guide, but I would NOT recommend Explore Share to anyone! Terrible experience for an expensive day.

Geremia was great to have for my first time ice climbing. He went over all the basics and gave me tips on my climbing that really helped out. All of this in a beautiful location! Highly recommended!

Enrico was an incredible guide. He was meticulous and patient throughout our Via Ferrata, accommodating our group who had varied fitness levels. Amazing experience and would highly recommend anyone to participate!
