On this extraordinary snowshoeing adventure, you will have the chance to spend a full day exploring the unforgettable ice and snowscapes of Trolltunga, a gorgeous rock formation with a cliff that overlooks the north side of the Ringedalsvatnet lake.
Of course, a certified local guide will lead the way and evaluate the weather, and snow conditions, always prioritizing safety. You will set off early, at 7.30 am from the Trolltunga Active Base in Skjeggedal, and from there, with your snowshoes on, you will spend around 8 to 12 hours out in the uncrowded and rugged Trolltunga wilderness on a 14km path with an 800-meter vertical ascent.
It will be key to be physically fit to join. Additionally, you should not attempt this hike if you have knee injuries. The minimum age is 15 years old. Please keep in mind that if you have any prior medical conditions you should also let us know in advance. Finally, we advise you to arrive the day before so that you can join a short trip briefing.

We encourage you to join the Trolltunga Active information meeting at Trolltunga Hotel in Odda by 21:00 the evening prior to your tour. Our guides will inform you about the hike, equipment needed, weather forecast, and more.
Our partner hotel Trolltunga Hotel offers free shuttle transport to the Trolltunga Active Tours when staying in the hotel in the shoulder season: The shuttle runs between 16th of February to 15th of June, then operates again from 15th of September until 1st of December.
During the main season, 15th June-15th Sept, public transportation replaces the hotel shuttle to the Trolltunga Active base. The stop for the public shuttle is 100 m from the Hotel.
