Description

Join me for an exciting canyoning adventure in the Val Ciolesan, in the Friulian Dolomites, in Northern Italy. We will enjoy a fun itinerary through a beautiful limestone gorge with crystal clear water.

I will take you on a great descent, but not too technical. So, get ready for double rope lifts, natural slides and numerous jumps. However, the jumps are not all mandatory. You will be amazed by this wonderful water torrent, with a fascinating geological aspect.

The Friulian Dolomites are the wildest and most untouched area of the Dolomites massif. They are a UNESCO World Heritage site and they are also called Oltre Piave Dolomites. They stretch between the provinces of Pordenone and Udine.

We will meet in Claut, in the Friulian Dolomites Natural Park. Then, we will walk in the woods for an hour to access the Val Ciolesan torrent. During the descent, the altitude difference will be 265 meters. It will take us in total about 3 to 4 hours. Also, I will provide you with the equipment you need for this adventure.

So are you in for an exciting canyoning day in the Val Ciolesan? Contact me and we'll start planning this great trip.

If you enjoy climbing, check my Cascate di Fanes via ferrata, near Cortina D'Ampezzo. Or you can check my profile and see all the trips that I also guide.

Mountain Guide

I started my career as an aerospace engineer, my first passion and then became a full-time IFMGA mountain guide, my second passion, since 2013. Working as a mountain guide gratifies me a lot. I enjoy very much transmitting my knowledge about the mountains and its activities to my friends and clients.

I’m based in the Dolomites where I have climbed most of the mountain surroundings us here, including “Via attraverso il Pesce” in Marmolada and “Captain sky-hook” in Civetta. I also enjoy a lot guiding in the rest of the Alps, ice climbing, ski touring, freeride skiing, rock climbing and mountaineering.

Feel free to contact me if you want to live a great adventure in the Dolomites or anywhere else in the Alps, during the winter or the summer. It will be a great pleasure for me to guide you and allow you to reach your goal. I work with other mountain guides in the Veneto area, such as Filippo, Massimo, and my brother Daniele. If I am unavailable on the date you are interested in coming climbing, skiing, or engaging in other activities with me, I can connect you with one of them.

3 stars Marmolada is due to weatherconditions. Lack of new snow. Enrico found good snow in parts of the glacier. 5 stars to him. Before we went up to the glacier, Enrico took us for a testride offpiste to see if we would be able to ski difficult conditions. Very good.

To be honest we are very disappointed. We signed up for the day of free ride on Marmolada but Enrico wisely said the snow conditions were not conducive for doing that. He offered to do other activities (specifically ski touring) but that is not what we paid for or signed up for, and did not want to do that. Since he offered “alternative activities” it appears we lose 100% of the cost per Explore-Share policy. This is extremely unfair. Enrico seemed like a good guy and probably a very good guide, but I would NOT recommend Explore Share to anyone! Terrible experience for an expensive day.

Geremia was great to have for my first time ice climbing. He went over all the basics and gave me tips on my climbing that really helped out. All of this in a beautiful location! Highly recommended!

Enrico was an incredible guide. He was meticulous and patient throughout our Via Ferrata, accommodating our group who had varied fitness levels. Amazing experience and would highly recommend anyone to participate!
