Description

I invite you to come climbing with me for 2 to 4 hours on the "Cascate di Fanes" Via Ferrata close to Cortina d'Ampezzo in the Dolomites.

We will leave the car in a natural park 15 minutes driving from Cortina. From there, we will have an easy approach to access the starting point of the via ferrata "Cascate di Fanes". We will go down through a water fall and pass next to a small and beautiful river. We will then go up again and close to the loop by reaching the start of the path.

I particularly like to guide my friends and clients on this via ferrata because :

  • It's really nice for children and a good opportunity for families to spend a great time together;

  • The approach to the start of the via ferrata is easy;

  • The view on the waterfall is awesome and makes this short adventure even more special.

The total positive altitude gain is 150 meters.

If you come to the Dolomites next summer and if you are looking for a fun activity to do with your friends or your family then you should contact me and join me for this amazing short journey on the Via Ferrata of Cascate di Fanes. It will be my great pleasure to guide you there, let you discover the the surroundings while ensuring you to feel safe and secured.

Mountain Guide

I started my career as an aerospace engineer, my first passion and then became a full-time IFMGA mountain guide, my second passion, since 2013. Working as a mountain guide gratifies me a lot. I enjoy very much transmitting my knowledge about the mountains and its activities to my friends and clients.

I’m based in the Dolomites where I have climbed most of the mountain surroundings us here, including “Via attraverso il Pesce” in Marmolada and “Captain sky-hook” in Civetta. I also enjoy a lot guiding in the rest of the Alps, ice climbing, ski touring, freeride skiing, rock climbing and mountaineering.

Feel free to contact me if you want to live a great adventure in the Dolomites or anywhere else in the Alps, during the winter or the summer. It will be a great pleasure for me to guide you and allow you to reach your goal. I work with other mountain guides in the Veneto area, such as Filippo, Massimo, and my brother Daniele. If I am unavailable on the date you are interested in coming climbing, skiing, or engaging in other activities with me, I can connect you with one of them.

Enrico was an amazing guide!!! My husband and I tackled via ferrata Punta Anna in Cortina which was challenging and exciting. Enrico was very responsive and communicative upfront, detailing the route and what we could expect. On the day of he was an excellent instructor, supportive and patient. He helped us have the best possible time out on our first via ferrata in the Dolomites. He took a ton of photos and videos during our outing which he shared with us afterwards. When we mentioned we would be in the area for another week, he went above and beyond and gave us his recommendations for the best hikes in the area. They were spot on! We would highly recommend using Enrico as a mountain guide!!

Our guide Filippo was fantastic. We insisted on exploring the Delle Trincee which turned out to be outside the ability of our group. Filippo was patient and fun and helped us traverse several sections that matched our ability while keeping our spirits high. The equipment was excellent, the communication with the outfitter was excellent. If you're looking for a guide to help you explore the Dolomites, we had a great experience with Enrico and his team.

We had the most amazing via ferrata experience in Cortina! This was our first time in Cortina and first time doing a via ferrata. Enrico was our guide and he was extremely knowledgeable of the area and was also very attentive to safety. We had such a fun time and would recommend him and explore share to all of our friends!

3 stars Marmolada is due to weatherconditions. Lack of new snow. Enrico found good snow in parts of the glacier. 5 stars to him. Before we went up to the glacier, Enrico took us for a testride offpiste to see if we would be able to ski difficult conditions. Very good.

To be honest we are very disappointed. We signed up for the day of free ride on Marmolada but Enrico wisely said the snow conditions were not conducive for doing that. He offered to do other activities (specifically ski touring) but that is not what we paid for or signed up for, and did not want to do that. Since he offered “alternative activities” it appears we lose 100% of the cost per Explore-Share policy. This is extremely unfair. Enrico seemed like a good guy and probably a very good guide, but I would NOT recommend Explore Share to anyone! Terrible experience for an expensive day.
