Type of Trip
Why not joining me for several hours (3 to 5) of climbing on the Via Ferrata of Formenton in the area of Cortina d’Ampezzo in the Dolomites mountain range.
Formenton is a really nice and easy via ferrata. It’s kind of unique because it allows us to see Tofana di Mezzo and Tofana di Dentro (2 mountains higher than 3000 meters) with a beautiful landscape all around the Dolomites, mainly on the north side.
I invite you to a nice hike on a kind of ridge with the via ferrata to help us on the more difficult rock pass. Besides, it is a unique place to see some rest of the first world war.
I usually recommend this via ferrata because :
- The views are breathtaking;
- The terrain is very interesting. In fact, it allow us to walk on a ridge with amazing landscapes on both sides;
- We have the chance to admire to famous peaks of the Dolomites mountain range.
During this trip, we will have a positive altitude gain of 250 meters.
Please contact me if you come in the Dolomites with your friends or with your family. I’ll be happy to spend a good time climbing a secured route!
If you look for alternatives or if you want to combine Via Ferrata del Formenton with some others, here are 3 more that I particularly like to do with my friends and clients:

- Guiding fee

If you refuse option a), our cancellation policy will apply. Please note, however, that the call to cancel a trip due to bad weather can only be made by the guide (not the client).

About the Guide
I started my career as an aerospace engineer, my first passion and then became a full-time IFMGA mountain guide, my second passion, since 2013. Working as a mountain guide gratifies me a lot. I enjoy very much transmitting my knowledge about the mountains and its activities to my friends and clients. I’m based in the Dolomites where I have climbed most of the mountain surroundings us here, including “Via attraverso il Pesce” in Marmolada and “Captain sky-hook” in Civetta. I also enjoy a lot guiding in the rest of the Alps, ice climbing, ski touring, freeride skiing, rock climbing and mountaineering. Feel free to contact me if you want to live a great adventure in the Dolomites or anywhere else in the Alps, during the winter or the summer. It will be a great pleasure for me to guide you and allow you to reach your goal.
