The Val di Fassa in the Dolomites is a beautiful place. Join an experienced local certified guide on a 3-day hut to hut ski touring adventure in this unforgettable location.

Alps, Dolomite Mountains

3 Days

Feb - Apr

The Val di Fassa is a huge valley within the Dolomite mountain range in Italy. The valley offers a great variety of fun and exciting activities. From ice climbing in the winter to rock climbing in the summer. However, because the valley is so big, and so beautiful, I believe exploring it is the best way to appreciate it. And on this 3 day hut to hut ski touring trip, you will have ample opportunity to explore this amazing place.

With the trip being 3 days, you will have a chance to thoroughly see the Val di Fassa. And believe me when I tell you, there is a great deal to see. The landscape is breathtaking. And whenever you decide to look up, you will be greeted by the snowy peaks of the Dolomites. We will venture deep within the valley during the day. And every night we will stay in one of the many huts located throughout the mountain range. Thus giving you the chance to admire the valley in the evening, as the glimmering light from the moon and stars reflects off the snow.

Some of the highlights will include the Passo del Mulaz, the Passo delle selle, the Picol Laste, the Cima Vallacia, the valley of Duron, and the Rifugio Antermoia, along with so much more.

There will be some difficult areas on this trip, including skiing on black slopes. As a result, participants should have previous off-piste skiing experience. They should also be in good physical shape as 3 days of ski touring in the Val di Fassa can be as tiring as it is rewarding.

The Val di Fassa is a beautiful area of the Italian Alps, and I believe spending 3 days ski touring through it will give you a great opportunity to truly appreciate it. If you want to join me, please send me a request.

And if you can only spend one day in the Val di Fassa, I can also guide you on a single day ski tour as well.

Renato & Guides' team

Mountain Guide

Hi! I'm Renato, IFMGA guide from the Dolomites, and I work together with my colleagues Robert, Patrick & Walter (German speaking), Paolo, Matteo and Davide.

If I'm not available to guide you, one of them will take care of you.

I was born in 1961, I live in Campitello di Fassa, in the Dolomites, together with my family. I have two sons, one is a mountain guide, the other is a ski instructor. I am a certified mountain guide since 1982, an instructor of guides, alpine ski instructor and a Federal coach for ISEF.

Being in the mountains has always been my passion, guiding people, teaching them climbing, mountaineering... during the various seasons of the year. I very much enjoy drawing nice curves in fresh powder snow and discover the charm of the frozen waterfalls.

My curriculum and professional mountaineering is made of many ascents and some openings of routes in the Dolomites and the Alps. I climbed in Yosemite Valley (California), Ben Nevis (Scotland) and Norway, Greece, Spain and Sardinia. I did also several high altitude climbs like Mt Denali (Alaska), Ama Dablam (6828m), Cho Oyu (8201m), Manaslu (8163m), Shivling in India (6545m), Cotopaxi and Chimborazo in Ecuador (5897m and 6310m), Patagonia (Argentina).

Feel free to get in touch with me if you are coming in the Dolomites for skiing (alpine, freeride and ski touring), rock climbing, sport climbing and multi pitch climbing. It will be my pleasure to guide you here and let you discover my secret spots.

Such a great experience! Davide was our guide and couldn’t have been more accommodating. We climbed it two locations with varying skill levels. He was so helpful and made our trip to the dolomites perfect!

Davide was an amazing guide. He was very knowledgeable about the area and about climbing. He was very careful with making the daily plan each day depending on the weather and what my interests were. He is very patient and great with beginners. He made my trip to the Dolomites very enjoyable. I recommend him very highly.

Agilizaram bem todo o processo, contudo a atividade é demasiado cara

We had an incredible day out with Paolo, our rock climbing guide. Paolo's laid-back and friendly demeanor instantly put us at ease. His extensive knowledge and exceptional climbing skills were impressive. The day went smoothly, allowing us to complete five climbs each. The climbing spot Paolo chose was phenomenal, offering spectacular views that made the experience even more memorable. Thanks Paolo! We look forward to climbing with you again next time we visit.

Robert was a great guide! He let us pick the via ferrata we wanted to climb, and made us both feel confident during the entirety of the climb. I'd highly recommend Robert to anyone looking to explore the Dolomites
