Zermatt, at the base of the Matterhorn (4,478 m), is a world class ski town. If you want to explore its beauty and enjoy amazing snowboarding descents, this 1-day private heli-boarding trip is for you.
Intermediate skiers and snowboarders are welcome to join this tour. However it is necessary to have prior experience on powder snow. I have organized different options to best meet your preferences:
Alphubel is a mountain in the Mischabel Massif, in the Pennine Alps. It is a fairly easy climb, but requires a lot of energy. The helicopter ride will take you to the best spots, saving all your energy for incredible descents.
We can choose between flying over the Allalin Glacier and Allalinpass, with direction to Saas Allmagell (1,672m) and Mattmark (2,197m), or landing on the Cursethorn (3,800 m).
Ascent: 400 meters to 800 meters
Descent: 2,400 meters to 2,900 meters
Another choice is departing from Zermatt and flying over the Melich Glacier. The helicopter will take you to Rimpfischhonrs (4,000m), where you will enjoy a great descent to Täsch.
Ascent: 500 meters
Descent: 2,500 meters
We will depart from Zermatt towards the Mettelhorn (3,406 m) where we will begin our snowboarding adventure descending to Täsch.
Ascent: 600 meters
Descent: 3000 meters
The second option is as thrilling as the first one. The helicopter will take you to Rothornhütte, where you will begin an epic descent back to Zermatt.
Ascent: 400 meters
Descent: 2500 meters
So if you are looking for a unique, custom made, fun heliboarding adventure, this trip is for you. Send me a message and I will make sure you have an unforgettable snowboarding experience in any of the locations you chose.
If you are looking for a longer trip, I also offer this Bishorn 5-day hut-to-hut glacier tour.
