Description

On this full day trek, I would like to show you some of the best views in the Swiss Alps at Hohbalm on the high path.

The hike will begin at Zermatt. From there, we will trek up to Trift (2,337m). The terrain we will be venturing on to get there will be rocky and rough, but the views are fantastic. We will then continuing climbing until reach Hohbalm on the high path. From Hohbalm, you will get to enjoy some of the most sensational views in the entire area. You will get to see a number of the Swiss Alps’ most famous peaks. Some examples include Monte Rosa, Breithorn, the Mischabel chain, the Weisshorn chain and the iconic Matterhorn. In all, you will get to see over 25 of the area’s 4000 meter plus mountains!

After you’ve enjoyed the views at Hohbalm, we will then start our descent to Staffelalp and on to Furi. From Furi we will make our way through some meadows to Blatten before returning to Zermatt. Thus concluding the adventure.

Throughout the trek, which will take about 7 hours, we will hike for approximately 16.5 kilometers. We will ascend and descend approximately 1,150 meters. As a result of the time and distance covered, it is important that participants are in good physical condition.

The views you will get to enjoy on this trek are second to none. So if you are looking to gaze at and admire the glorious Swiss Alps, this is the trip for you. To be a part of it, just send me a request.

Very user friendly platform with timely responses from Explore Share representatives. The trip itself with Tom from Alps Adventures was awesome and ensure that we had an experience that was 100% what we wanted. Recommend both the platform and the guide. I had am amazing time during the 1-day off-piste training course at Hoch-Ybrig. Urs, our main mountain guide, was very helpful in answering my queries before the course, and Lupe from explore-share was helpful in selecting the course. We had 3 groups under Urs, Mario and Patrick, and I was in the group with Patrick. He gave us a lot of nice tips and individualized video analysis. He made a special effort to convey everything in English, since I don't know German. All the participants were very helpful and friendly too! The course is good value for money as skis are included for the weekend in the course price.
