Velika Planina is Slovenia’s largest highland pasture, located in the Kamnik–Savinja Alps, northeast of Kamnik. It offers many great hiking possibilities and one of the best preserved traditional dairy herdsmen’s settlements in the country, with a hilly landscape full of karst sinkholes and hollows.
