Hiking in the Slovenian Julian Alps

We spent three amazing days with Grega hiking Triglav and the seven lakes valley. Grega took care of all the planning while communicating with us any necessary changes due to weather/hut availability. He also was great company on the evenings and throughout the whole journey, making the experience even more special because of the friendship created.

Stunning hike up Debela Pec with our guide Timotei from Altitude Activities. Everything was exactly as we hoped - super kind and friendly guide, beautiful scenery, fun hiking in the snow and a great traditional Slovenian lunch at the hut on the way down. Great experience!

I had Uroš Grilj as a guide for a 7-day hike and I recommend him wholeheartedly. He is highly skilled and competent. The hike felt safe at all times, even on more exposed routes, for which I had no previous experience and which were nonetheless perfectly comfortable and fun, entirely thanks to him. He constantly adapted the routes to my level and the weather conditions, checked in on me and discussed the options for the next days with me. He is also a very nice person and it was a pleasure to talk to and learn from him. Thank you very much, Uroš!

Dean is an excellent guide. He's friendly and conscientious and throughout or trip was focused on getting us to achieve our hiking goals while being aware of our abilities and experience. We chose a relatively tough hike (8hrs, 1,700m elevation gain) but Dean made sure we completed it safely and at a good pace. He also took photos throughout so we could concentrate on the hiking and shared them with us later. He was also good company on the hike. I would thoroughly recommend his services.

That was not the guide, to begin with. It was a very very young woman. She was not very communicative, although she replied all the questions asked by the people seating in the front row. I, at the rear, have little opportunity to actually ear anything that it was said. Even less to ask myself The tour was not so bad but obviously some stops were far more interesting than others. What I found really annoying was the company of two people (clearly not customers) who shared the tour with us, speaking one another in their language as if they were alone in the van. Customers and friends (colleagues?) should be kept apart.

We were looking for a hike suitable for 4 adults with reasonable experience in hiking.Dean not only crafted a 5 day activity for us but was also able to adjust for routes to fit our needs during the hike itself. Dean proved to be a great guide with both knowledge and an amazing attitude and was simply so much fun to be with, Dean also went 'the extra mile' for us taking some of us to special activities which we did not plan for. If you are looking for hiking in Slovenia and getting an experience of a life time - I would highly recommend Dean. 5 starts all the way (And if there 6 he would get them as well :) ) Dean, thank you so much !

Dean was prompt and super knowledgeable about the area we were going to. He guided us safely to Slemenova Spica to enjoy the Julian Alps. As two girls from the city, we don't have much hiking experience, and he was patient and super helpful. We enjoyed our trip so much and it has been the highlight of our Slovenia trip. Thanks once again, Dean, for taking us on this experience!

Dean is a super experienced guide, he is very qualified to do all sorts of mountineering too if you are interested to try. I had a good time learning how to do snow shoeing and he is very patient in teaching me and assessing my abilities to suggest different routes which is suitable for my build and stamina. It was great and safe to have him as a guide because he knows the terrain well and that is good to know.

Please give the age group that can do this tour on your website. We had two senior citizen for whom we booked the tour but they could not do the tour because of their age
