Would you like to explore Slovenia’s best wilderness spots? Then join us on this Slovenia Julian Alps Highlights hiking tour, and we’ll make sure you go to all the right places!

This tour starts off from Ljubljana. We have designed it for your full enjoyment both when hiking in nature, and in the evenings when you are not. The first stretch of the tour will take you on a 3-day hut-to-hut hiking traverse in the Triglav National Park, and then, the following day, we will combine short drives and lovely treks to spots such as the famous Lake Bohinj, Lake Bled, Soca Valley, and more. You can find a detailed itinerary below.

In terms of physical exertion, you can expect to hike 5-7 hours per day, with 10-15 km (6-10 miles) in distance and up to 1000 m (3300 ft) of elevation gain on the hardest day. Therefore, a good fitness level and some hiking experience are recommended.

Though the trails don’t demand any technical skills, they are uneven, sometimes rocky, narrow, and with loose gravel. Furthermore, steep uphill and downhill sections are also part of the fun, and you will have to use your hands as well. Additionally, some stretches of our trekking routes will be shady and forested but others will not and we will be deep in nature, away from immediate amenities.

So, are you up for some Slovenia Julian Alps hiking fun? Then contact us today and let’s start planning an unforgettable trip together!

What people are saying about this trip

Organizing the trip from Australia was a bit frustrating as it took a while to get a response as they needed to wait for the guide to return. Once on the trip I couldn’t fault it. The guide Aliaz was FANTASTIC in every way! The group size was perfect and the tour varied and interesting. Food fabulous and accomodation as expected.

I have no complaints about this holiday. Everything was perfect except that the program had to be Our Our holiday was fantastic despite having to change the program for a couple of days due to bad weather. We had a fun time together despite a big difference in ages. I don‘t usually go on guided holidays, but it really is an advantage to get to know the culture and history when exploring a new country. Aliaz from Slotrips is a very warm, caring, people orientated person who made our holiday a great success
