The Tour du Mont Blanc is one of the most famous and classic difficult mountain climbing trails, with extensive experience and excellent fitness the minimum prerequisites to tackle it. The rocky terrain and tricky ascents pose a great challenge, yet the adrenaline and pride when one finishes the trail is immeasurable. It is a fantastic achievement to complete.

June-September, when the weather is warmest and conditions least treacherous

How to get there
Flights to Geneva (88km away) or Haute-Savoie Mont Blanc Airport (90km away), and then approximately 1-hour car/bus from there. 5-6 hour train from Paris
Attempting the Tour du Mont Blanc should only be undertaken by experienced mountain climbers, as it is extremely challenging, both mentally and physically, and requires a very high level of fitness. Please make sure you pack and wear appropriate clothes to deal with the cold weather
