Nature Guide
Brussels
I don't love nature: I just feel I am part of it. I talk to the trees and the plants and sometimes they answer back. My grandpa is an old beech tree in the forest where I go regularly. He is very wise and he knows how to soothe me and sometimes he gives me advice.
The trees themselves called me back into the forest: but this time, it was no longer about hiking or exercising. It was about taking the time to be with the forest, with the beings that live there. It was about being immersed in the forest with all my senses; to relax and be silent.
This is what Shinrin Yoku, or Forest Bathing is about. To quieten the mind, to relax and come back in our body, in the present moment. In the words of a participant: "It is an incredible moment of peace and healing!"
Be in touch if you want to experience a Forest Bath in Forêt de Soignes, next to Brussels. I'll be honored to open the doors of the forest to you.
